Buildfolio

Buildfolio is a self-updating portfolio site that turns a submitted URL into a documented project entry with almost no manual work. A Playwright capture pipeline crawls the target site, records light and dark screenshots plus a scrolling demo video, and renders an AI-generated cover card instead of a plain screenshot. A three-provider AI cascade (Gemini, OpenRouter, Pollinations) synthesizes the title, descriptions, and tech stack from the scraped page text, while capture jobs run asynchronously through Upstash QStash so ingestion never blocks the request. Media lands in Cloudflare R2 and data lives in Turso, managed from a hidden, Clerk-gated admin dashboard. Built with Astro, React islands, and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Vercel.
